MS Education and Awareness

Uncategorized

Dropping a quick post to bring light to a subject that is very near and dear to my heart.

March is National MS Education and Awareness Month.  My grandma was diagnosed with MS shortly after I graduated college.  It took a couple of hospitalizations and scary times before she was diagnosed.  MS is somewhat of an unknown disease and there are many questions left unanswered.

A wonderful part of Texas is the MS 150.  A bike race that runs from Houston, TX to Austin, TX benefiting MS Education & Awareness.  Gelareh over at Nutrious Foodie is riding the race this year and has posted a great informational post.  She is also hosting an auction to benefit MS fund raising efforts.  Please head over to her post, check out the information, consider donating to a great cause, or just tell her thanks for training so hard for this great event!

I wore my grandma’s garter from her wedding to my grandpa almost 50 years ago.  My grandma is one funny lady as you can tell!

I am sorry to hear about your grandmother. I will be thinking of her as I pedal from Houston to Austin.

Thank you for the link bank… I am hoping the auction is a successful fundraiser for this event :)

Your grandma (also my adopted grandma) is one the best people I’ve ever met!!!! I love that crazy, funny, loving woman like my own family!
