Friday Fun Facts
- Warning: This fact is not fun! I received this email from TripAdvisor with a list of the dirtiest hotels in America! I wouldn’t look at it while eating if I were you!
- Second non-fun fact: The hubby is sick. Which means I am nicely trying to stay away from him and also following him around with a can of Lysol. That is real love people.
- And now…a fun fact! My name is Karissa and I have developed a sweet-tooth. Much like the Pringles commercial “once you pop, you can’t stop.” Once I start the dessert wagon it gets out of control. Case in point: I ate a plate full of chocolate rice cakes topped with PB, strawberry jelly, and cream cheese icing. [P.S. The ones topped with PB are the best for those looking for a fun sweet!] Hmm…still craving sugar….4 fake oreo cookies later….tummy ache! Luckily I had a nice salad and grilled cheese for dinner so I did obtain some nutrients! I can’t believe I am saying this…but I might go all Ellen and sugar-detox. Might.
- Awesome blog alert! I recently stumbled upon fellow Texan blog Running off the Reeses and fell in love! Check out this no BS post about all those healthy living bloggers who preach crap about skinny not equaling happiness. I love bloggers, and people, who give it to ya straight. [**I realize her post will probably raise hell among the healthy living bloggers, but girl has a point. Just remember that getting to whatever your skinny is in a healthy way is the part that makes you happy]
- Giveaway winner! The Almighty Random.org says that the winner is #4
I love mascara and have devoted many dollars to finding the perfect one. I have pretty long eyelashes, but they are not very thick.
I like:
1) Covergirl Lash Exact (I think. in the yellow tube). It is really really great for length. I’ve tried the volume formula-orange tube-and it isn’t as good.
2) I like Voluminous a lot…but, I think it is better after it is about half used. It is too gloopy when it is brand new and full. I wipe a bunch off the brush when I use it.
3) Benefit BadGal-love this. Giant brush like Voluminous, not gloopy at all. Right now I use the CG first for length and the BadGal next for volume (I’m not nearly as high maintenance as that sounds, I swear!)
4) I also like Diorshow mascara, but I don’t think it is worth the price.
Also, the She Uemura eyelash curler is amazing and totally worth the money. I held out on it a long time, but it is fantastic.
